Officially Remembrance Day is is a memorial day observed in countries to remember the members of their armed forces who have died on duty since World War I.
Remembrance Day is a day not only to Remember the Fallen, but to also remember all of our Soldiers, Veterans and their Families for the sacrifices they make in the name of Freedom for our Country, our fellow Countrymen and freedom for all mankind in need of assistance.
On ...NOVEMBER 12th, 2011 we invite you to join us for our Shades of Red Remembrance Gala where we will join together to give thanks to those who have sacrificed themselves to protect us.
The Shades of Red Remembrance Gala is a fundraiser event to assist two very important causes, MCpl. Mike Trauner, a double amputee from the war in Afghanistan and the Broken Wing Project, soldiers helping soldiers with PTSD.
MCpl. Trauner lost both of his legs and severely injured his left hand after being the target of an IED explosion. Our goal is to help raise funds to assist he and his lovely wife Leah in the building of their wheelchair accessible home whereby there is a shortfall of funds upwards of $250 000.00
The Broken Wing Program is designed to assist soldiers with PTSD by working with other soldiers through a newly developed program called plasticity therapy. The program was founded and is headed by a veteran who suffered with PTSD from the war in Afghanistan, Travis Schouten along with clinical directors.

The event will include a family style turkey dinner complete with desert, tea and coffee as well as the musical performances of Cory Cruise and Jon Patterson.
This is a semi - formal evening and dress code is in effect.
Women - Evening gown or cocktail dress
Men - Black Tie or Dark Business Suit
Military - Mess Kit or DEU with white shirt and bow tie
